When walking through the wine isles at Kroger and various other grocery stores, the first thing that became apparent to me was that I had to choose wisely. The hundreds of wine bottles and brands for the most part had a sort of cohesion. I had to choose something that wouldn’t fade into the background but wouldn’t stand out too much either.
the choices avaliable at grocery stores did not inspire anything in particular, so I took my search to the internet. I found an interesting wine from Arizona called Echo Canyon. That wine was ripe with imagery and history and was exactly what I had been looking for.
From the beginning, I new where this project was going. I knew I needed a cow skull and I knew it needed to be western themed. I bought “The Good the Bad and the Ugly” movie trillogy and watched them all several times and afterwards everything became clear. I finalized everything in a very small amount of time set out upon creating the final product.
Obviously, I had to make a lot of choices and when faced with these choices, I always asked myself “What would Clint Eastwood do?” Hopefully Clint Eastwood would be proud.
